We need to prepare a comprehensive strategy that addresses health challenges with special emphasis on geriatric, pediatric, and maternal health issues.<\/p>\n
I see a Libya with a healthcare system focused on preventive care staffed by well-trained health workers. We need to develop specialized post-traumatic support facilities and rehabilitation programs to heal communities from the wounds of war. We need to develop national programs aimed at effectively addressing major health challenges such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, and HIV\/AIDS. We also need to increase individual responsibility for engaging in healthy behaviors. For example, traffic accidents are the number one killer in Libya. We need to make the roads safer for drivers and promote public awareness of responsible driving.<\/p>\n

We need to prepare a comprehensive strategy that addresses health challenges with special emphasis on geriatric, pediatric, and maternal health issues.<\/p>\n I see a Libya with a healthcare system focused on preventive care staffed by well-trained health workers. We need to develop specialized post-traumatic support facilities and rehabilitation programs to heal communities from the wounds of war. We need to develop national programs aimed at effectively addressing major health challenges such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, and HIV\/AIDS. We also need to increase individual responsibility for engaging in healthy behaviors. For example, traffic accidents are the number one killer in Libya.
