I see a Libya where our natural resources are managed sustainably and transparently, where revenues from natural resources are invested by our sovereign funds in better infrastructure, enhanced opportunities, and improved quality of life for current and future generations. I see a Libya where the benefits of our natural resource wealth are reinvested in education and innovation to build a more diverse economy that can sustain our population now and into the future. I see a Libya where agreements to extract our natural resources comply with international standards and benefit our country through jobs, building workforce skills, and enhancing our national innovation system.\u00a0<\/p>\n
I see a Libya that protects its water resources, biodiversity, land, fisheries, forests, and deserts. Where laws protect the basic rights of our families and communities to clean air and water and involve our communities in the use and preservation of the environment. We can do this if we build robust water and waste-management infrastructure and services; if we raise anti-pollution standards and promote and enforce measures to reduce air, water, and noise pollution. We can create a clean Libya by conserving our precious water resources, by mandating fuel efficiency standards, by launching national awareness campaigns to preserve our environment and keep our communities clean.<\/p>\n
