Dr. Aref Nayed, head of Ihya Libya, said that the Cairo initiative to solve the Libyan crisis was based on a Libyan societal dialogue, and on previous dialogues that took place with the Libyan parties over the years. Explaining that it is a Libyan initiative par excellence, and has the personal support of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the Egyptian state with its distinguished diplomacy. In an interview with Al-Youm Al-Sabea, Nayed stressed that the declaration by most countries of their clear support for the initiative and within a few hours and days of its announcement clearly shows the efforts that were made for it and the international respect that Egypt enjoys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Islamic State terrorist group likely will launch an attack on Italy within weeks, not months, according to a senior Libyan government official.<\/p>\n

Aref Ali Nayed<\/strong>, Libya\u2019s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, said in an interview that one likely method of attack would be to use stolen Libyan airliners now believed to be in the hands of Islamists in Libya.<\/p>\n\n\n
