The head of the Libya Academy for Advanced Studies, Dr. Aref Al-Nayed, visited the General Command of the Libyan Armed Forces, today, Sunday, in the Rajma area, and met the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Army, Field Marshal Khalifa Belkacem Hifter<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The working and coordination sessions held during the visit discussed the latest developments in the Libyan arena, with its various humanitarian, political, economic and international files, especially ways to stop the fighting and terrorizing civilians taking place in the capital, Tripoli, and ways to build the Libyan state and bring the country to safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Islamic State terrorist group likely will launch an attack on Italy within weeks, not months, according to a senior Libyan government official.<\/p>\n

Aref Ali Nayed<\/strong>, Libya\u2019s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, said in an interview that one likely method of attack would be to use stolen Libyan airliners now believed to be in the hands of Islamists in Libya.<\/p>\n\n\n
