The head of the Libya Academy for Studies, the former Libyan ambassador, Aref Nayed, said that he – as a consensual figure – does not object to forming a national unity government to replace the Government of National Accord, accusing Italy of excessively supporting the Tripoli government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an interview with the Italian News Agency, Fayez al-Sarraj accused the President of the Presidential Council of tyranny of government and his alone in the decisions of the Council, accusing the Brotherhood of marching on the Libyan capital, Tripoli, just as the fascists marched on Rome, considering the army’s operation to liberate Tripoli as an attempt to save the capital from the clutches of militias and armed groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Islamic State terrorist group likely will launch an attack on Italy within weeks, not months, according to a senior Libyan government official.<\/p>\n

Aref Ali Nayed<\/strong>, Libya\u2019s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, said in an interview that one likely method of attack would be to use stolen Libyan airliners now believed to be in the hands of Islamists in Libya.<\/p>\n\n\n
