The head of the Libya Academy for Advanced Studies, Aref Nayed, said that the process of liberating the capital, Tripoli, and returning matters to their democratic path has reached its final stage, indicating that the Islamic movement\u2019s takeover of the capital is what corrupted political life in Libya, which led to ideological and criminal groups controlling the capabilities of the Libyan people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nayed, in a statement to our channel yesterday, said that the army is the one who will settle the battle in Tripoli and restore the state’s sovereignty, after all political solutions failed, especially with the stalling that occurred on the issue of elections, explaining that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, often tried to negotiate with the President of the Presidential Council Fayez al-Sarraj, however, the latter violated the arrangements that had been agreed upon and remained an autocrat in the capital. Al-Nayed added that the army is almost presenting a military solution that will restore the democratic path to what it should be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
