The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Libya Academy for Advanced Studies, Dr. Aref Nayed, met with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Libya Peter Millett, at the campus’s headquarters in Tunis, today, Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two parties discussed the current political and humanitarian crisis in Libya, and ways to get out of it as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nayed handed the British ambassador a copy of the official letter, which the complex delivered to the head of the United Nations mission to Libya, Ghassan Salame, and its contents were discussed.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Islamic State terrorist group likely will launch an attack on Italy within weeks, not months, according to a senior Libyan government official.<\/p>\n

Aref Ali Nayed<\/strong>, Libya\u2019s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, said in an interview that one likely method of attack would be to use stolen Libyan airliners now believed to be in the hands of Islamists in Libya.<\/p>\n\n\n
