The Libyan ambassador to the UAE, Dr. Aref Nayed, met this afternoon in Cairo with the Speaker of Parliament, Counselor Aguila Saleh, and the head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Martin Kobler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Al-Wasat Gate, the meeting that brought together Al-Nayed and Aqeelah was a consultative one, as the latest international, regional and local developments, as well as the file of Libyan-Emirati relations, were discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al-Nayed and Kopler discussed the Libyan issue in light of the recent rapid events, which is the third meeting between them within a few weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Islamic State terrorist group likely will launch an attack on Italy within weeks, not months, according to a senior Libyan government official.<\/p>\n

Aref Ali Nayed<\/strong>, Libya\u2019s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, said in an interview that one likely method of attack would be to use stolen Libyan airliners now believed to be in the hands of Islamists in Libya.<\/p>\n\n\n
