Tripoli – The start of the announcement of the candidacy for the Libyan elections revives hopes about the possibility of holding them during this year in accordance with the plan of the UN envoy, Ghassan Salame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the former Libyan ambassador to the UAE, Aref Nayed, announced his intention to run in the presidential elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nayed expressed, in press statements published on Sunday, his intention to run in the election race, indicating that he had prepared a vision and program of work in cooperation with a working group of young people, to lift Libya from its current crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Islamic State terrorist group likely will launch an attack on Italy within weeks, not months, according to a senior Libyan government official.<\/p>\n

Aref Ali Nayed<\/strong>, Libya\u2019s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, said in an interview that one likely method of attack would be to use stolen Libyan airliners now believed to be in the hands of Islamists in Libya.<\/p>\n\n\n
