Tripoli – The former Libyan ambassador to the UAE, Aref Nayed, accused what he described as \u201cideological groups\u201d, referring to the political Islam movement, of fabricating the economic crisis that Libya has been experiencing since the fall of the regime of the late Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, and it deepened after the political division in the country in 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nayed’s accusations came in a blog post on his official Facebook page against the background of the collapse of the value of the US dollar against the Libyan dinar on the black market, as the dollar fell against the dinar to its lowest level during the past week, reaching 4 dinars after it exceeded 10 dinars last December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Islamic State terrorist group likely will launch an attack on Italy within weeks, not months, according to a senior Libyan government official.<\/p>\n

Aref Ali Nayed<\/strong>, Libya\u2019s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, said in an interview that one likely method of attack would be to use stolen Libyan airliners now believed to be in the hands of Islamists in Libya.<\/p>\n\n\n
