Further to our best greetings,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We, the national democratic civil movements and parties, are pleased to express to you our happiness of Your Excellency\u2019s appointment as the US Special Envoy for Libya, in addition to your duties as the US Ambassador in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While we welcome, with deep gratitude and thanks, this step, we would like to record to Your Excellency, our appreciation for your distinguished efforts that you have tirelessly exerted during the last stage so that we can achieve steps towards getting out of the tunnel of crisis by forming a unified Executive Authority, and setting a date for holding direct Presidential and Parliamentary elections on the 24th<\/sup> of December 2021;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We, simultaneously, would like to express our praise for the distinguished role that the friendly United States Government plays in ensuring the implementation of the outcomes of the Berlin Conference, and its keenness, through the Security Council, to preserve the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Libya, and affirm the necessity for the withdrawal of all foreign and mercenary forces, and the completion of direct Presidential and Parliamentary elections as scheduled on the 24th<\/sup> of December 2021, and its support for the High National Elections Commission and its continuation, in order to reach stability, and embark on the aspired construction and development phase.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, we would like to point out our constant aspiration to cooperate with you, to consult on these upcoming entitlements, and to support efforts aimed at achieving them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Islamic State terrorist group likely will launch an attack on Italy within weeks, not months, according to a senior Libyan government official.<\/p>\n

Aref Ali Nayed<\/strong>, Libya\u2019s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, said in an interview that one likely method of attack would be to use stolen Libyan airliners now believed to be in the hands of Islamists in Libya.<\/p>\n\n\n
