After the UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salamé directed a request to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres to be relieved of his duties in Libya due to the condition of his health, the United Nations said through the spokesperson for the Secretary-General, Stephen Dujarric that it is focusing at the present time on the fact that Salamé’s resignation does not lead to a setback in efforts to find a peaceful settlement to the Libyan crisis.
