Since 2011, our hearts have been filled with hope to build a new Libya. But this promise has not yet been fulfilled, and today we stand at a crossroads: Either we roll up our sleeves to realize our broad hopes, or those hopes will go waste with all the great sacrifices made by our nation and its people.

Libya belongs to all Libyans, from all segments and components of its people, and we will strive together, without excluding anyone, to rebuild and develop our country so that it ranks among the advanced countries, so that our country will be an oasis of security and safety, united and open to the world; where law and justice prevail; where all forms of support, social and health care, are available to its citizens; where its schools and hospitals are upgraded and cutting-edge; and its environment clean; and where prosperity prevail.

This will not be achieved for us unless we have sincere intentions, work hard, achieve comprehensive national reconciliation—and unless every Libyan citizen benefits from the divine gifts that God has blessed our people and our country with.
