Aref Ali Nayed to Sky News: The Egyptian Intervention in Libya is Legally and Historically Legitimate

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s meeting with the sheikhs and elders of the Libyan tribes, today, Thursday, had many indications, about Egypt’s position on the Libyan crisis, and also reflected its increasing interest in the security and safety of the Libyan lands, as well as protecting and securing the western borders of the country.

Regarding President Sisi’s statements and his vision of the indications of the meeting, Dr. Aref Nayed, head of Ihya Libya, said that Sisi’s statements are extremely important, especially with regard to the issue of the exit and entry of the Egyptian army, and that it will be by a Libyan order, explaining, “We noticed in the words of the Egyptian president this concern for Libyan feelings and sovereignty. “It is a disconnected speech and differs from that arrogant speech which was said by the Turkish Chief of Staff at the Libyan Maitika base without the presence of any Libyan representative or one of his allies or clients in the reconciliation government.”
