The Chairman of the Libya Institute for Advanced Studies, Dr Aref Nayed said that some countries are pushing to wait for elections, but there is no international consensus on this position.
Dr Nayed added in an interview with the Russian agency Sputnik that some important countries are still calling on all parties to implement their public commitment in Paris and to holding the elections on schedule on the tenth of next December. Dr Nayed added that the most important thing is that all opinion polls, even those conducted by the United Nations Mission, plus all the data of the Libyan social fabric and civil society, as well as the statements of the Libyan army leadership, all demand that the elections be held on time.
