Today, Monday, Libyan Parliament Speaker Agila Saleh addressed a letter to the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, regarding the agreement signed between the Government of National Accord and Turkey, which included military cooperation and the demarcation of the maritime borders between the two countries, as this agreement poses a threat to the Libyan state and its security.

In the text of his speech, Aqeelah said, “The aim of the aforementioned memorandum of understanding is to seize the lands, airspace, ports and territorial waters of the Libyan state by the Turkish army, as it is an agreement in the form of a memorandum of understanding that entails the Turkish occupation of Libya’s lands and the violation of its sovereignty.”
