Members of the Republican party in the US Congress close to President Donald Trump’s administration met today, Wednesday, with the head of the Libya Academy for Advanced Studies, Aref Nayed, according to a press briefing from the Libya Media Complex office.
Nayed carried a personal letter from Parliament Speaker Counselor Agila Saleh to members of the Republican Bloc, in which he asked them to support the elected legitimate parliament, support the Libyan army in its war on terror, and repel the recent attack on the Libyan oil infrastructure.
Nayed discussed with the Republican representatives the issue of speeding up a shift in US policies towards Libya by supporting the Libyan people instead of supporting ideological terrorist groups.
