Tunis – Al-Arab learned that a trilateral military meeting that brought together a number of senior Russian, Egyptian and Libyan officers, was held Monday in the Egyptian capital on the sidelines of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Cairo, which was also received by Abdel-Razek Al-Nazouri, Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army.
The Libyan political activist, Sami Ashour, said in a phone call with “Al-Arab” that this meeting was devoted to discussing the field developments taking place in Libya in light of the expansion of the threat of ISIS in the country, and ways to confront this danger that threatens neighboring countries, especially Egypt.
