Dr. Aref Nayed, Chairman of the Ihya Libya Movement, participated on Thursday, in the activities of the Role of Law in the National Reconciliation Conference in Benghazi. The conference was organized by the Centre for Law and Society Studies (CLSS), at the University of Benghazi. The conference was attended by prominent politicians, academicians, and activists from the city of Benghazi.
The events included review and discussion of the outputs of a three-year research project conducted by CLSS on the role of law in national reconciliation in the country. The research project was prepared by Professors Jazia Shaiter, Najeeb Al-Hasadi, and Sulaiman Ibrahim, with the contribution of Dr. Zahi Al-Mughairbi, Dr. Hala Al-Atrash, Dr. Lujain Al-Awjali, and Dr. Fathi Moussa. The conference also witnessed the launch of a research project on Facilitating Justice.
