Aref Ali Nayed, was listed as one of the top 50 most influential Muslims in the world today. The ranking comes in the 2014/15 edition of The Muslim 500 published by The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre in Amman, Jordan. This is the fifth time that Dr Aref Nayed has been listed in the annual publication. He was recognized for his contribution to theology, diplomacy and leadership. The publication states that Dr Nayed “is viewed in many circles as a man of integrity, wisdom and strength; virtues that are needed at the highest level to put Libya back on track.”
In 2012 Dr Nayed was listed as one of the world’s 500 most influential Arabs by the leading publication Arabian Business, and in 2013 Dr Nayed received an award from King Abdullah II of Jordan for his outstanding contribution to Islam and to inter-faith and inter-civilizational dialogue.
