Dr. Aref Ali Nayed, head of the Ihya Libya, confirmed that the Cairo initiative to resolve the Libyan crisis was able to build on the decisions of the Berlin Conference, which had a strong international foundation and was able to include all important tracks and summarized all that preceded it in Skhirat, Paris, Palermo, Abu Dhabi and other stations.
In his interview with “Libya News 24 Agency”, Nayed said that the Cairo initiative, in particular, was able to create a strategic security framework that stopped the Turkish expansion to the east and established a ceasefire, adding that the success of the Geneva conference depends on the transparency and seriousness of the UN mission.
