The head of the Ihya Libya, Dr. Aref Ali Nayed, said that the Cairo initiative to resolve the Libyan crisis was able to build on the decisions of the Berlin Conference, which had a strong international foundation, and now include all the important tracks and summarized all of what preceded it in the Skhirat, Paris, Palermo, Abu Dhabi and other stations.
Nayed confirmed in an interview with “Libya News 24” website that the Cairo initiative, in particular, was able to create a strategic security framework that stopped the Turkish expansion into eastern Libya and created a ceasefire, noting that the success of the Geneva conference depends on the transparency and seriousness of the UN mission.
