Dr. Aref Ali Nayed, a Libyan diplomat and head of the Ihya Libya, sent an important message to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, today, Monday, calling for a firm and effective international stand with the Libyan people in their legal and legitimate demands.
In his message, Nayed indicated that in light of the rapid escalation of events in Libya, especially in Tripoli, he calls on the United Nations to take a firm and effective stand with the Libyan people in their legitimate demands, put an end to corruption throughout Libya, and condemn the expressions calling for the violent suppression of civil and peaceful demonstrations.
