Greetings,
In addition to our letters of June 29 and August 24, respectively, and in light of the accelerating escalation of events in Libya, and particularly in Tripoli, we would like to add the following recommendations to the contents of these two letters:
- We believe that the United Nations should stand firmly and effectively with the Libyan people in their demands, which stem from the heart of the suffering, for their rights and freedoms, and for an end to corruption in all parts of Libya.
- We believe that the United Nations should reject in the strongest possible terms the violent suppression of peaceful civilian demonstrations and condemn it.
