Libyan Elections Blown by Conflict

Tripoli – The political and security developments taking place in Libya, months before the elections, are prompting observers to question the possibility of organizing them next December.

The political parties that signed the Paris Agreement began to back down from their support for holding elections, specifically the House of Representatives and the state.

The Speaker of Parliament, Agila Saleh, said that the demand to remove the internationally recognized body that represents the will of the Libyan people through elections means a return to square one.
