The House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee condemned the agreement concluded by the Presidency Council with Turkey, calling on the Security Council and the United Nations to carry out their responsibilities towards this dangerous escalation.
For its part, the Interim Government affirmed its categorical rejection of this agreement, which it described as alleged and illegal, stressing that it came to undermine the efforts of the Libyan armed forces to eradicate terrorism from the capital.
In turn, the head of the Libya Academy for Advanced Studies, Aref Al-Nayed, sent an urgent message to the UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, in which he called on the UN mission to intervene and stop this work.
