The former Libyan ambassador to the UAE and candidate for the presidential elections, Aref Nayed welcomed the renewal by the UN Envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame of the United Nations’ commitment to holding presidential and parliamentary elections in 2018.
In a statement to the Russian agency “Sputnik”, Nayed welcomed the commitment by the United Nations special Envoy to Libya, calling on the international community, especially members of the Security Council, the African Union and the League of Arab States to support the Libyan people to have their say through their votes.
