A group of Libyan political activists, media professionals and diplomats issued a statement condemning the Benghazi bombings that targeted the Al-Salmani area, and condoling the families of the victims in particular, and the people of Benghazi and Libya in general.
The statement appealed to the “rival” political conflict parties in the Libyan scene to assume their responsibilities and called on them to unify the military and security institutions and unify efforts in combating terrorism, and to pursue the issue of the shipment of explosives, and also called for the acceleration of elections to choose the legislative and executive bodies in the country.
The statement called on the House of Representatives to meet immediately with all its members, considering those who failed to attend a traitor to the trust and the homeland, and the statement called on the Libyan people to comprehensive civil disobedience to push the officials and the international community to carry out their duties.
