Aref Nayed led a delegation of elite Libyan thinkers and writers to meet with their counterparts at the twofour54 campus in Abu Dhabi. Twofour54 is a UAE freezone which hosts companies involved in content creation across all media platforms including film, broadcast, music, digital media, events, gaming. and publishing. The Libyan delegation toured twofour54’s integrated campus, as well as twofour54 tadreeb, twofour54’s media training academy, and the production and post-production facilities at twofour54 intaj.
Nayed and Noura Al Kaabi, CEO of twofour54, discussed issues relating to the regional media landscape and in particular the support and training required to rebuild the fledgling media industry in Libya. The delegation also learned about the Abu Dhabi government’s efforts in facilitating the creation of locally relevant Arabic content and talent development in the media industry.
