Dr. Aref Ali Nayed, President of the Ihya Libya, thanked the United Nations, and its Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, for the successful facilitation of the ceasefire agreement in Libya.
In a letter sent by Nayed to Guterres, it said, “We are writing to your Excellency, on this happy day of peace, to congratulate you and your distinguished team, and thank you all for the successful facilitation of the ceasefire agreement throughout Libya.”
Aref Ali Nayed added, “We especially thank Prof. Dr. Ghassan Salameh and Mrs. Stephenie Williams for their vision and tireless work that led to the great results on this day. We also thank the negotiating parties for their courage and bias towards the homeland and the interests of the Libyan people.”
