The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Counselor Agila Saleh, received the candidate to head the new government, Aref Nayed, at his residence in Cairo this morning.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in the situation in Libya, and ways to reach effective and rapid political and practical solutions to the current crisis, in light of local, regional and international developments, in addition to the latest initiatives on the scene, especially the Egyptian initiative.
Nayed also presented the results of the community consultations that he coordinated through the Libya Academy for Advanced Studies, which he is preparing to present to the United Nations next week in New York and to the leaders of the Libyan social fabric, in a meeting to be held inside Libya to support the legitimacy of the House of Representatives and the unity of the Libyan army in its war on terrorism.
